Window Peeper photo requirements

Last updated:

The starting photo affects both the subject and the scene. These are practical composition suggestions, not a guarantee that every face or movement will be reproduced accurately.

Keep one person easy to recognise

Use one adult with a sharp, visible face and even lighting. Avoid a face hidden by a phone, heavy blur or a large foreground object. Group pictures make it unclear which person should react.

Only upload a photo of yourself or an adult who has given permission. This service does not accept photos of minors, celebrities or public figures.

Leave room for the story

An upper-body or wider indoor composition leaves space for an arm movement and a visible window. A photo taken through a window, with the person and curtains visible, establishes the intended viewpoint more directly than a tight portrait.

If the frame contains only a face, the generator would have to invent the room, window, body and camera position. That can lead to abrupt scene changes. Preparing a closer starting composition reduces how much the model has to invent.

Prepare the shape before uploading

For a vertical video, prepare a 9:16 image. Use the crop preview in your photo editor to keep the head, hands and relevant window edges visible. The current workflow follows the input shape and does not guarantee an automatic vertical crop.

Start with a clean image

Use JPG, PNG or WebP up to 10 MB. Check the orientation and remove unwanted text from your own source image before uploading. A watermark or AI label already inside the picture may remain visible in the output.

Avoid trying to repair a blurry source by repeatedly generating video. Choose a clearer original first.

Make one change at a time

If the first result looks wrong, decide whether the issue is the face, composition or action. Change the crop or choose a clearer photo before another attempt. Keep expectations modest: a better source can help, but it cannot guarantee perfect likeness or motion.
